Instead of making some lame introduction post, I’m gonna just write up a little on a couple or so shows I’m gonna take a look at this season.
It’s totally not a self-reminder post for myself instead of something beneficial for you people out there. *Cough*
Suteki Tantei Labyrinth

I’m really only curious in this because it sounds similar to Ghost Hunt. The main character (Whom I’m assuming to be the guy in the foreground) doesn’t look anyway (or anywhere) as cool as “Naru-chan” though. Then again, neither was Naru-chan the lead of the series. Cough.
Unless his counterpart is the brooding guy behind there, in which case the similarities just shot through the roof.
And that dog is totally suspicious.

Shion no Oh

From what I can get off animesuki’s boards:
Yasuoka Shion lost her parents, and her voice, when she was young. In a murder. She was found amidst a blood-soaked room, and the only hint for the suspect was a Shougi board and one piece: the King. Now, Shion steps into the world of female professional Shougi players. As her popularity and fame slowly rises, so do the questions about her past, particularly the murder case that was never solved.
O…Kay. Hikaru no Go meets Monster with a female protagonist? This is just bizarre enough to work. Although from what I see, Studio Deen is the production studio. I’m a little iffy about their work in the first Higurashi, although it was quite a ways better in Kai.

In latter events, I might start off by blogging some of the better Dennou Coil episodes.
Good day, sir.

That’s a very cat-like dog. Everyone knows that cats are suspicious. So by means of deductive circular reasoning, the dog is indeed suspicious!
So Shion no Oh is like… The Princess of Shougi? We’ll see how it stacks up once it gets some subs.
I’ve been following the manga version of Shion no Ou. Nice story, flawed execution - but I’m hooked deeply enough to keep reading it anyway. Let’s see if the animators can improve on the original.
