I was trying to do these summaries in letter order, but apparently I fail at the alphabet because they aren’t. In my defense the files are arranged by sub group first, and I quickly scanned over the titles before watching them. I’m in despair!
Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun:
Bouncing boobs and panty shots. Shungo Ninomiya has a hell of a life. All of his classmates are just out to get him. The girls tie him up and expose themselves to him and the guys are trying to drop various heavy objects on him. A girl falls out of a helicopter ass first on his face. This girl who is soon introduced as Mayu will be staying with Ninomiya and it is his duty to protect her from now on. Her outfit is something between a naked apron on the top and a very short dress on the bottom. This show is just out there. Mayu is a succubus but lacks all vampire qualities. Ninomiya’s sister fights gigantic polar bears, battles in an urban war zone while talking on a cell phone, and still manages to find the time to come home and videotape Shungo at inappropriate moments when he’s with Mayu. Get it if you like fanservice oriented harem/comedy shows. I suppose this show gets 3 nosebleeds/10
Myself; Yourself:
High school harem dorama. Sana has moved back to his hometown after being away for five years. On the train back he dreams about his last day that he spent with his friends and they fun they used to have. His friend Aoi helps him become better reacquainted to the city. He soon meets up with his other friends the next day in class and they receive him warmly except for Nanaka, when he completely does not recognize her. I suspect that the show will be about Sana trying to win back the tsundere’d Nanaka over the course of the show. The show looks enjoyable enough, and I like the character designs. I’m going to dock a point for Aoi’s voice because she sounds like a 7 year old. Myself; Yourself receives a 6/10
Night Wizard:
Action/comedy based on a series of the Japanese equivalent of Dungeons and Dragons. See my earlier post for the synopsis. 7.5/10
Rental Magica:
Astral is an organization that rents the services of its magicians to clients for all sorts of jobs. Itsuki Iba, the president of the company, is seemingly a mild-mannered high school student with no talent for magic, but when he removes his eyepatch it appears that the spirit of his father takes over his body. Overall it looks like a shounen with a monster-of-the-week formula. I don’t see anything special in it, but if you just absolutely need another shounen to watch then go for it. 4/10
Shakugan no Shana 2:
Sequel from the first series. If you liked the first series then this is probably already on your watch list. No rating because I haven’t finished the first series.
I think that covers most of the season’s anime that initially interested me. The next overview will focus on miscellaneous shows that subbers were late getting around to. If someone wants to recommend something to me, I’ll probably add those too.
