I found a lot of similarities to Lain as the series progressed anyway. And I remember describing the character designs somewhere as "A kooky hybrid of Lain and Azumanga Daioh." It seems more light-hearted and whimsical than I usually like in anime, but I think it'll be a refreshing break from watching Key and Lain over and over again. Great review.
