This post was semi-inspired from a recent Riuva post. I’ve been incubating this post for a while and it looks ready to hatch. Readers are 40% more likely to stalk visit a blog that has daily posts. With that said 80% of all statistics are made up. Anyway, daily blog posting is much easier said than done. If you’re an editorial writer, you’ll soon find yourself running on empty as the old idea well eventually runs dry. So what can you do to draw in more readers with daily posts? Here are a few ideas…
News - News is a plentiful resource. Relaying news is okay as long as you give credit to your sources. It does seem a bit redundant to spout news if you’re a secondary source of information though. If you choose to go the anime/manga/games/figures/etc news route, it would be best to compile your announcements rather than make a-la-carte posts, as it will be much more organized.
Blog seven+ anime episodes per week - At this point you’re a full fledged anime blogger and probably don’t have much time to talk about anything else. If you thrive on summaries and screencaps, this isn’t a bad path to take. Just look at Random Curiosity. Like Rogaine, it can work for you too.
Creative day-dependent posts - My example here is the infamous Moe Monday spot. A nice option as it will keep loyal readers coming back every week. If nothing else, these are freebie days for your blog.
Outsource - Get other people to write and contribute for pennies a day. Outsourcing is the future, dammit! Get with the program. Take a look at THAT and Riuva. Outsourcing rules!!1!
Personal posts - Give your readers a little insight into what makes you tick once in a while. Real life stuff shouldn’t be talked about every single day though. This isn’t MySpace, mmmmmkay? Thaaaaaaaaanks.
Filler posts - My personal favorite. Posts that are simply there to take up space. This is a last option when you have no other tricks to rely on. Tack on a pretty picture and no one will really notice or care.
That concludes this article. Go forth and post. Anime blogging is serious business after all.

Filler posts are love. I can’t imagine a world without filler, because it would leave me in despair.

Emm, delicious fillers. I’m more of the anime episodes kind of person, although I try to stuff everything else in between ^^
