Burn, baby, burn! Not literally of course, because I don’t condone random acts of arson. It’s been quite a hiatus, so I have a ton of stuff to get through. Marathoning a variety of anime on the weekend is always fun. Synopses will come throughout the week as I also tackle a couple essays that have deadlines on the horizon.
With that out of the way, it might finally be time for me to cave and buy a PS3. This means no more figures (or food for that matter) in the foreseeable future unless a Shiori gets announced. The dilemma is choosing between the lower-end and higher-end model. I’ll probably have to settle on the more expensive model in the end, because it makes marginally more sense.
The search for a web host continues as well, but this is a lower priority than the PS3. Wordpress has been pretty good to me, so there’s no rush. Balancing price, features, and reliability is really boring. Since I’ve got bandwidth to spare, the idea of a home server actually doesn’t sound too bad and might end up being a better solution in the long run.

I don’t see why you should buy the higher end model as long as you only keep the game saves and install/uninstall accordingly. Of course, I’m quite an ignoramus about the whole new console fiasco, so don’t take that to heart.
The backwards compatibility is the main issue for me. I’m aware that the newer PS3 model only emulates PS2 games, but it helps to free up physical space so the PS2 can go into storage. The bigger HD also makes things more convenient if a ton of future games require installation.
I prefer 60gb over 40gb, for $200 you get PS2 BC, 2 usb port, bigger hdd, card reader!
and also PS3 upscales PS2 games
don’t forget to add me to your PSN friend list once you got your PS3~
Ron: Unfortunately the 60GB model is hard to find without resorting to the refurb market. I’ve had a couple bad experiences with used systems in the past. I’ll be on the lookout for a 60GB model, but the 80GB model looks to be the most likely candidate. Consider yourself added whenever I get the system. =P
I’ll probably get a PS3 when it costs as much as a PS2.
..See you in ten years. >_>
