I'll probably get a PS3 when it costs as much as a PS2.

..See you in ten years. >_>

Ron: Unfortunately the 60GB model is hard to find without resorting to the refurb market. I've had a couple bad experiences with used systems in the past. I'll be on the lookout for a 60GB model, but the 80GB model looks to be the most likely candidate. Consider yourself added whenever I get the system. =P

I prefer 60gb over 40gb, for $200 you get PS2 BC, 2 usb port, bigger hdd, card reader!

and also PS3 upscales PS2 games :D

don't forget to add me to your PSN friend list once you got your PS3~

The backwards compatibility is the main issue for me. I'm aware that the newer PS3 model only emulates PS2 games, but it helps to free up physical space so the PS2 can go into storage. The bigger HD also makes things more convenient if a ton of future games require installation.

I don't see why you should buy the higher end model as long as you only keep the game saves and install/uninstall accordingly. Of course, I'm quite an ignoramus about the whole new console fiasco, so don't take that to heart.
