Comments on: Clannad Movie Review

Im about to watch the movie a week after finishing the series. Im hearing many positive and negative comments behalf of this movie and im really trying to decide if i should see it or not. Reading on how some characters are not going to be on this movie got me down, especially since the series got the viewer really attached to each and every one.
Well, im going to see the movie whether i hear it is bad or not, i am really attached to Clannad and knowing i cannot once again watch this with the same feeling i had the first time, i want to see what is new for me, as a viewer to see.

I thought that the movie was pretty good, but I wish that they had done a movie that starts where the anime ended with Nagisa, Tomoyo, and Ushio. I would have liked to see how things progressed from there. While the movie was good, I like the anime much more than the movie. The movie was just a re-telling of the original anime’s story, but with some differences. I just think that a movie based on the ending of the anime would have been better.

its good to see theres so manny clannad fans out there i really loved the first season and afterstorry did good to in my books (even tho the ending was kinda predictable) this movie made a good attempt to summarise the storry
i didnt like the relationships tho there al quite unexplained and random its like its a movie designed for people who didnt watch the series but u wont understand it until u do…
(nagisa ftw had to rewatch the final ep of afterstory just to see her alive again)

i like it but not as much as the real anime

I’m a great fan of the anime, but to be honest, i totally didnt enjoy this movie.
The pace was too fast didnt give enough time for the viewers to become attached to the characters, for courtesy of how good the series is, im going to give 4/10. (same as Noron)

I have to agree on what Roy Mustang said. This movie was horrible compared to the actual series. The movie seemed way too rushed and everything was squashed into a very tight corner. I am not saying not to watch the movie because everyone has there own opinions but I dont think that I should of even bothered with it.

The rating that I would give this movie is a 4 out of 10

Horrible animation. Horrible pacing. Horrible direction. If you’re a fan of Clannad, don’t bother watching this movie. It’s that bad.
