Ever had that time when you just don’t feel inspired to watch stuff?
Posted by: Meultima in UncategorizedIt’s been some time into the Summer season and I still haven’t really taken a look into any of the new offerings. Some call it lethargy and whatnot, but there’s this feeling you have when you just keep with what you’re already watching and ignore the rest until that season is done. Perhaps it’s the somewhat overflowing number of new animes coming out that is somewhat intimidating. I don’t know.
In the meantime, there’s a whole lot of shifting going on here and there. How many of us can profess to having already moved on to current-gen consoles? I’m still here on my PS2 waiting for what else might be still coming to this console, i.e. Persona 4.
Sometimes I worry that I’m getting too old for this. Hah.
Meu, out.

I feel like I can’t be bothered watching anime heaps of times because I get obsessed with something else. And the amount of anime airing in Fall is scary.
Happens to me a lot; I just get lazy, work starts piling up, games left unplayed, and so on.
And I too, have no real reason to go next-gen. Until they release IIDX on the PS3 or something (which I really hope doesn’t happen).

I sometimes feel the same. There are so many anime series that it’s sometimes overwhelming to sit down and make a choice. I might just skip fall because I’m backlogged and just plain busy.

Sometimes I fall behind on anime when school is pretty busy. I can watch everything in the summer lineup but usually have to cut down my spring/fall watching to only the best shows/what interests me the most.
Personally, I took off this past winter season. I had enough of the of fall animes to watch and nothing really grabbed me. By the time spring rolled around I was really wanting to watch new stuff and dove right in. If your not feeling it, let this season pass since the fall season looks killer. I’m already getting ready to more Clannad and the new series from Gainax, to name just two.
Also, maybe your subconsciously thinking that picking up new series will mean you have to do more writing and you subconsciously don’t want that. If that’s the case, just watch the shows knowing you will not blog about them and see what you feel then.
As for gaming consoles, my house has a Wii and a PS2 so I guess we’re partly in the current-gen. I recently, finally, finished Dragon Quest 8 after I realized that I never finished it. Gaming as a whole has kinda ebbed for me over the last couple of years and I’m just playing games like Civ4 and Medieval 2:Total War right now. With Spore being the only game I’m probably going to buy this year (but I expect it to wreck havoc on my anime watching since I’ll be playing it so much).
