I’ve decided it’s time to go to one of the two big anime conventions next year as I’m long overdue for a change of scenery in conventions. So which convention reigns supreme? I’m leaning towards Otakon but AX doesn’t look like a bad choice either. Some advice from people that have gone to either of these cons would be appreciated. In return I offer a pirate’s bounty of moe pictures.

AX is more an industry con and Otakon is more a fan con, so take your pick. I’m super biased towards Otakon but the one time I went to AX wasn’t bad at all. In fact if time and money were not issues I would go to both.

I’ve heard good things about both cons, and I guess it can depend on where you are or how far you can travel. I just went to Otakon, and had a blast there, but I don’t feel good recommending that when I haven’t been to AX yet.

I’m also saying Otakon, although I haven’t been to the other one before. Because they’re both on opposite sides of the country, I guess I have to ask: Which one’s cheaper? Cause there’s a lot of money to spend during the convention so one may be more feasible than the other….

Caitlin’s got sage advice there, Yamcha. You wouldn’t want to spend half your money to arrive at the furthest one, find something you want, and find out you’re exactly 10 bucks short.
They’re both an equal distance from me so both cons are feasible, but it looks like there will be more meet ups with other bloggers at Otakon.
