what chako says about “ifyou played one you played em all” .. that’s just wrong. dragon warrior/quest is somewhat like that but for final fantasy you’re just talking out your ass.

earthbound was the pinacle of gaming back when it came out. nowadays it’s much less impressive, but still a great experience.

the third installmen, for the gba, is a cool game if you’ve already played the snes version, and maybe the snes version.

Earthbound is funny, witty, full of self-references, dark, interesting, and overall a fantastic game if you can get over the outdated battle system. Final Fantasy, on the other hand… Well, you’ve played one of ‘em, you’ve played ‘em all.

Earthbound is a must-play experience if you have a passion for gaming at all.

Earthbound sounds pretty good. It’s one of those games that I’ve heard a lot about but never got around to playing, due to laziness (and my obsession with the Final Fantasy series). Maybe I can redeem myself and get it for the DS?
