Code Geass fans are a hilarious lot. Never before have I seen such rampant opinion flip flopping when it comes to the characters.
“Zomg Nina sux! She raeped Table-kun!!”
One season later…
“Nina is hawt now so she’s not so bad!”
One episode later…
“Nina sux again!”
Here’s another situation.
“Rollo is stupid.”
Next episode…
“Maybe Rollo isn’t so bad.”
Next episode…
“Rollo is cool!”
After yet another episode…
“Rollo is phail.”
Goodbye Rollo…
“Rollo? What happened?! ROOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOO!”
[Repeat ad nauseam for all other characters]
My point is that Geass fans can’t seem to make up their minds on anything. They’ll love Suzaku in one episode, hate him in the next and go back to loving him again on infinite repeat. The same applies for damn near every character in the show. It’s an endless cycle of love and hate. Maybe we should just blame this conundrum on shoddy writing. Yes, that must be it.

That’s because Geass is ridiculous and the show MAKES US FLIP FLOP on characters. In one episode we Rolo be a completely selfish jerk and then the next episode he sacrifices himself for Lelouch. Spinzaku is a total moron and then he joins Lelouch and completely owns those guards when he takes the throne. Don’t blame us, blame the awful show that’s so damn entertainingly awful.
That was the worst paragraph I’ve written in a while.

Code Geass’s overarching story isn’t bad, but the characterization has been awful since season one. The characters keep flip flopping, and the fans can’t help but flip flop along with them.

Peh~ I still don’t like Rolo or Suzaku. Lulu is the only one for me.
I actually gained a lot of respect for Nina in the latest episode. Well, actually, it’s been rather odd not to see ZOMG PSYCHO NINA LOLWUT for awhile, but the latest episode sort of made the transition a little easier.
And while Geass isn’t the best show on my list in a long shot, it’s actually done a lot of things (entertainingly) right. I went into Season 1 thinking I’d hate the show because it has silly CLAMP stuff0rz and some flamboyant kamen rider dude. Turns out I ended up liking it a fair bit.
But seriously, sometimes I don’t get some people’s complaints. What the heck were they expecting, Gankutsuou? *Snort* That thing kicks pretty much 95% of existing anime into a cocked hat as is.
Though one can argue that Ze Count is indeed very fabulous as well.

Yeah, some Geass fans are somehow special. I like Code Geass, too, but i hated Rolo, even before he killed Shirley. Shirley was great! And I never cared about Nina. She’s just a fucking supporting character. What I wanted to say? Not every Geass fan is a stupid fan boy/girl who changes every episode his opinion.
There was only one character were I changed my opinion once… that was due to Schnitzel’s doings (Schneizel; Schnitzel is the german word for escalope).
