Diego here. I’ve just joined the blog as a staff contributor and this is my way of saying “howdy” to the readership.
I’ve been in the anime blogosphere since 2006 (via ディエゴの日々), writing about DVDs, manga, figures, and pretty much anything that strikes my fancy. I hope this experience will serve me in good stead as I branch out into group blogging through Wolf Hurricane – a unique opportunity for which I have Yamcha to thank.
So, what can you expect from the new kid on the staff roster? I specialise in DVD reviews, but during those long dry spells between releases I enjoy churning out news bites and manga write-ups. I’m not an episode blogger, but I might take a whack at it if anything good comes out during the fall anime season.
My posts here will be mirrored back on my existing blog and vice versa, with the exception of purely personal stuff, lunatic rants, careless ramblings and filler posts that aren’t worthy of general distribution (which will stay on ディエゴの日々). Hopefully this filtering will help keep the overall quality of Wolf Hurricane publications to a high standard.
I’ll try to put up at least one new post each week, although work tends to cut very deeply into my personal time so there may be some extended silences now and then.
Well, I guess that’s about it; feel free to check out my staff profile on the About page for more details. Later days!

The big talk among the figure community today is Goodsmile Company’s new English website. The site is pretty and all, but I don’t care for the layout very much. My nitpicking aside, be sure to check it out if you’re a figure fan.

Dood! Saw this bit of news on Kotaku and 1-up. Disgaea’s popular cannon fodder penguins are finally starring in their own spin-off game, Prinny: Ore ga Shujinko de Iinsuka?.
According to 1-up, “it’s an action game where you control not one, not two, but a 1,000-Prinny squadron on their quest to help an extremely pissed-off Etna recover her stolen sweets[...] So you’ll be going through one Prinny after another in this 2.5D, Metal Slug-like adventure, killing ‘em off like lemmings as you traverse the game’s fantasy-themed, side-scrolling stages”.
The details are still sketchy, but it’s about damn time. The Prinnies will invade Japanese PSPs this November 20th.

Another Anime Fest has come and gone. It was fun but ultimately uneventful. There wasn’t much to do besides hit up the dealer room and chill out in the viewing rooms to watch anime I’ve already seen (Natsume Yuujinchou, Haruka Nogizaka and others). No big ticket items this time around, which is a first for me because I usually splurge for a figure or artbook at every convention. The Noizi Ito Guren and Kaen artbooks tempted me but were $55 each. Ouch. No thanks. I’ll use my better judgment and look for those online. I really hate how so much con merchandise is extremely overpriced. So like I said earlier, Anime Fest was fun… But uneventful. Onto the spoils of war!

“Hey Yamcha, what’s better than a maid?”
Uwah. A grilled cheese sandwich? A rose petal bath with scented candles? Shana hentai? Muscular, masked maid guys?
“A robot maid!”
Uguu~ That… That is better than a regular maid! Ugh. To be defeated by a fictional disembodied voice that’s just an extension of my imagination… Well the voice in my head has convinced me to choose a robot maid this week, so the spotlight falls on none other than Mahoro Andou from Mahoromatic. Mahoro is here to kick ass, condemn you for your ecchi habits, and purloin your porno stash… Hide your porno because Mahoro is in town this week.
