Sengoku Basara and Asuka Cryin’.

Okaaay, that little dance jig number with Basara was Not Expected/10. Also, seems Asuka Cryin’ is made by Nanoha folks. Well, certainly has the whole School People With Special Powers thing which I didn’t really expect from the very sparse initial summaries. Not Sure If Want either of these. Thoughts, guys?

Hmm, at this point, I’m not really sure what OPs I’m looking forward to. I’m not sure Eden of the East will be the sort of thing to have an amazing OP, but you can never be too sure. Shangri-La was pretty much one of the ones which I expected to have the better OP sequences, and it wasn’t too bad, I guess. Well, onto more leaks and whatnot.
Adieu, Meu out!

  1. The Sengoku Basara OP was weird. Dancing soldiers and flaming pole twirling…? Maybe it’s better if I don’t understand. Since I’m not too well versed in Japan’s Warring States era, and also because it’s a game to anime adaptation, I pass.

Asura Cryin’… A typical OP with angela doing the vocals. Looks decent enough but probably won’t watch it.

Sengoku Basara looks like ridiculous samurai-action fare. It could be fun like Samurai Champloo, if it doesn’t get too bogged down in medieval politics or game lingo that’s “for the fans”. Asuka Cryin’ looks like another generic “school kids w/ superpowers and mechs” story, otherwise known as utterly forgettable fluff. I might’ve liked that kind of thing 10 years ago, but I’ll probably pass.
