K-ON! and Valkyria are quite good in their own ways, but Phantom strikes me as a bit pretentious when it comes to the style (camera angles, dramatic pauses, etc.). K-On is my guilty candy pleasure of the season, it seems. It's like a bar of eclair - Filled with nothing but fluff, but I can't help but eat it all up anyway. Phantom has potential, but the slowness can get grating. Probably my favourite on this list is Valkyria Chronicles, but you knew that already.
