I definitely like a nice OP and ED. But if it stinks I can just skip it, so like you said no big deal. Some of my favorite anime series have openings that just grate against me all wrong. @Summonmaster: HHY pretty much overpowers BDD in my book as well (though I like both). As you say, Super Driver isn't a bad song; I'm just not that into it. And I doubt it will inspire a lot of badly choreographed dance sketches. (Of course, I could be wrong. The Haruhi fandom cannot be underestimated.) It’s hard to improve on the allure of the original cult favourite. Hare Hare Yukai had much more of an impact on me than Bouken Deshou Deshou did, so I’d say Super Driver is better. It definitely isn’t bad, but actually I don’t quite care either way.
