@lovelyduckie: Glad to be of help. If you liked stuff like Natsume Yuujinchou it'll suit your tastes pretty well. Also the OP is so quirky you can't help but like it.

You won me at the word "ghost" in Bakemonogatari. I love ghost stories and I can't seem to find any anime series that portray them well, even though I think anime has the potential to tell some amazing ghost stories. I hadn't even considered this series until now because I guess I didn't research enough what each series was about.

@Moonlily: SHAFT's visuals are a double-edged sword to me. On the one hand they make a show memorable if only because they're so trippy. On the other hand it feels like I'm acid tripping the whole time, and it's distracting as hell. Finally, Uuu Uuu Uuuuuuuuuu~!

@Seinime: Agreed despite the pretentious visuals, Bakemonogatari has been very entertaining. I'm really digging the dark vibe of the show, and as long as it doesn't have any significant gore it'll be my favorite show of the season.

@Panther: Wakamoto is worth 9000 points any day of the week.

Shaft did a really good job with Bakemonogatari. Loving the show so far.

I've been quite pleased with Umineko and Bakemonogatari so far. Bakemonogatari's visuals have been excellent in complementing that compelling storyline and it's kinda hard to forget that scene where Hitagi just pours it all out. Umineko is also going at a surprisingly fast rate though. At least Maria shut up during episode 2 without annoying us all with the UUU UUUU~.
