2. The cell phone is possessed and needs an exorcism.

4. The phone is actually GLaDOS reincarnated. Wait, that’s four…
SHAFT, you make my head hurt. This is what happens when you let people with ADHD make anime. At least this was nowhere near as bad as the seizure inducing phone scene in ef – a tale of memories.

While there is definitely a SHAFT being SHAFT angle to the phone it makes a bit more sense once you’ve seen episode 5…a bit more…no idea wtf Breakout is supposed to symbolize.
@Taka: Aye, like Tetris everything will all fit into place in episode 5. It all makes sense now. Break out and embrace the truth! Unfortunately a couple blabbermouths already ruined the big surprise for me. I’ll just pretend to be surprised.
Still, it’s SHAFT being SHAFT and they make my poor head hurt by making us overanalyze every instance of symbolism they throw at us.
I really wish I had a phone that did that, and yes I did get the postive thinking refernce.
That cellphone si the exact same model that Senjougahara’s father has…
