Girl of the Month (September): Index Librorum Prohibitorum

I heard you guys like loli nuns with entire libraries of forbidden magical texts stuffed into their heads. I’m personally more of a Biribiri, Kaori and KoMOE kinda guy, but as per commenter request, Index is the Girl of the Month for September. Screw the request though because I was going to pick Index anyway as part of my master plan to take over the world by turning everyone into a lolicon.
Moving on, Toaru Majutsu no Index’s magical moe library does have a certain charm to her, such as… Ummm… Begging for food and leaving her signature bite marks all over Touma on a regular basis as a sign of affection…? Wait. Those aren’t charming features. So why do we like Index anyway? As I ponder this question, I’ll leave you with this month’s gallery of everyone’s favorite Magical Index. I think we like Index for a combination of her moe facial expressions and her cute demanding voice
Index is so much less cute when she was in her “Power Mode”, but her face/voice combination was a killer.
Also, I’m not sure how old Index really is, it always made me wonder.

I disliked Index a lot, gave up the series because she is annoying as hell to me. That ridiculous teacher too.

Duckie, she stops being a major character fairly early on.
Oh really? Maybe I quit that series too soon, I stopped a few episodes after Kaori was introduced, I liked Kaori and was curious about her but was fed up with Index. If I remember right she just randomly bit the main guy when they were walking down the street and I was like “That’s it! She bothers me!” and stopped the series. She is the type of moe character I can’t really stand (some I like, some I don’t). Alright maybe I’ll watch a bit more of this series at some point.

I’m 4 episodes away from finishing the series, but I actually think the name of the series might be a misnomer. It’s truly a Touma series.

I don’t mind Index, but I prefer Mikoto. Her character design is simple but it somehow appeals to me, and she’s pleasantly tsundere. Ironically, though, it seems like Index didn’t get much screentime in her own show past the first third.
