The plot is more linear compared to saving-one-character-in-one-episode. They focused more on one story while she gets the other candies from the different characters she interacts with through the chapters. I picked up the manga not hoping to be entertained much, but now I am really enjoying it. :) P.S. But from what I saw from the chapters of Kobato in Newtype this isn't going to be one of my new favorite series.
