@Netto: Breathtaking is right. Can’t wait for the final season’s R1 DVD release. As for purchasing the book, if it’s one of the larger Japanese bookshops (Kinokuniya, for example), they can probably order it for you if it’s not already on stock.

@foshizzel: Highly recommended. Both the original manga and the anime adaptation are very gently paced, nicely suited for easy reading/watching, although the relaxing pace will probably bore the living daylights out of people looking for fast action.

@g0rth0r: Yeah, that’s a pretty good deal. And thanks for the link – I should give that seller’s offerings a careful look myself.

@Guy: I certainly wouldn’t mind a book of fine landscapes and urban scenery (no doubt Amano-sensei can pull it off), though as a fan of the series I’m inclined to think that it’s right for the characters to take centre stage over the backdrops.

Very Venician.

A lot of blues, pinks, and sunset red-oranges.

Interesting, and I like the style overall, but I’ve seen it so often, through years of Final Fantasy, and other video games, and all over the place. But still, the vistas of skies and buildings are interesting, perhaps they should’ve been less in the background and more prominent?

I’m currently into Aria : The Natural, around one year after the first series, which I totally fell in love with. The huge delay is explained by my desire to extend tis wonderful series as much as I can. Like I said, I’m literally in love with Aria; got Alpha this summer and Stella is currently being shipped. I’m planning on getting Cielo a bit later, since, like you mentioned, availability shouldn’t be a problem.

As for importing the book(s), I’m going to share one of my favorite ebay seller : http://myworld.ebay.com/japan-ssdyuk/

Alpha, Stella and Cielo are listed at 48.99 $US, however the “Best Offer” option is available, and so far, he accepted my two offers of 26$, plus international shipping of ~9 US$. That’s really a good deal. Now the book are listed as used, but from what I’ve seen from the Alpha, I can’t even find a single hint that tells it’s used.

Anyway, gotta love Aria !

Agreed those scans look really nice, I have not really seen much of ARIA i guess ill have to look into that. Really love his character designs and backgrounds very detailed.

Simply breathtaking.

ARIA is truly a beautiful series, and I wouldn’t mind buying this artbook just for keepsakes. Just wondering if the Japanese bookstore near me has these in stock or not.

If not, I would probably need to ask someone else to order it from Amazon for me instead…
