About
About Wolf Hurricane:
An anime blog that specializes in a mix of episodic blogging, editorials, reviews, general news and other zaniness. I started this blog because I always enjoyed talking about anime and games. The blog’s name comes from Yamcha’s trademark Rogafufuken/Wolf Hurricane Fist in Dragon Ball. For reasons unknown to myself, I’ve always had an affinity for the character. Wolf Hurricane started in April 2007 at Blogspot, moved to Wordpress, and then finally settled into the domain you see here in February 2008.

Noirsword:
The guy that runs the blog and takes care of all the admin stuff. A very sardonic, jaded Psychology graduate that likes to blog about anime, manga, games, and the general otaku culture. My older friends know me as Yamcha, but my current Noirsword handle is derived from my favorite anime of all time, Noir.
I suppose I was initially bitten by the anime bug sometime in my early teens sometime in the late 90’s when a friend introduced me to Ranma 1/2 and Neon Genesis Evangelion. I found them interesting at the time, but I really didn’t get into anime until Cartoon Network’s Toonami block first started airing. During time time I was weaned on classics like Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo, Outlaw Star, and The Big O. Everything went downhill from there as anime slowly tainted my formerly pure soul, and I began my descent down the Dark Side. The rest as they say is history.
In addition to loving all things under the anime umbrella, I am also an avid gamer. I’ve been playing all sorts of video games since the late 1980’s and it’s always been one of my favorite pastimes. All genres are fair game except FPS, RTS and MMO. Never got into those particular types of games. I’m also a casual fan of the juggernaut Touhou franchise and VNs/Eroge. I’d play more of the latter, but they’re a big pain in the butt to setup so I don’t bother with them too much. All in all, I’m neither a hardcore “otaku” nor a hardcore gamer — Just sort of a jack of all trades when it comes to both.
Favorite anime: Noir, Air TV, Kanon, Clannad, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Rurouni Kenshin, Welcome to the NHK, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Sola, The Twelve Kingdoms, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Gankutsuou.
Favorite manga: Lunar Legend Tsukihime, Gintama, Gundam: Ecole du Ciel, Gunslinger Girl, Pretty Face, Hayate no Gotoku.

Likes: Frozen yogurt, bubble tea, assassin girls, twintailed tsunderes.
Dislikes: Weaboos, strange fetishes, furries, cauliflower.
The Staff
A Day Without Me:
Who is she? No one knows. A mystery within a mystery, A Day Without Me is somewhat of a misnomer. I mean, how can she be there and without? Or something. But for the most part this is filler until she decides to fill this space up herself. Or something else like that. I think she likes Mudkips. I have been wrong before. Booyaka! (Meu)
Diego:
Not much of a gamer, but I’m open to trying clean visual novels (no eroge, thanks) and I dabble in strategy games from time to time.
I’ve been running ディエゴの日々 (an independent anime/manga blog – check the blogroll for the link) since 2006, but Wolf Hurricane is the first group blog I’ve ever collaborated on. Many thanks to Yamcha for inviting me to come on board.
Outside the sphere of otakudom, I’m an avid reader and amateur classicist. I don’t like my job, but it pays reasonably well so I’m sticking with it until I figure out how best to waste the rest of my life.
And I promise to write a better profile when I can find the time to do so.
Favourite anime: Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (and pretty much anything by KyoAni – Kanon, FMP Fumoffu, etc.), Haibane Renmei, Kino no Tabi, Sketchbook ~full color’S~, Hidamari Sketch, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Hayate no Gotoku, the films of Shinkai Makoto
Favourite manga: Gintama, Mushishi, Hikaru no Go, Rurouni Kenshin, Genshiken
Gerent:
After having failed to become Japanese through years of anime radiation, Gerent decided to straighten up and take life seriously. He is what some scientist identify as the rare “reformed otaku.”
He has a greater preference for manga than anime, feeling more partial to seinen and shōjo works, though it irks him that most television adaptations tend to gloss over the depth of their source material.
And though he’ll be the first to admit he is not as attentive to the industry news as some of the other members, he hopes to bring to the team a unique view of the exotic world of anime, helping bridge that gap between enthusiast and curious viewer, in addition to raising awareness of some of industry’s lesser known and by gone works.
Kaitouace:
I speculate that he’s actually an alien but have no substantial proof. Yet.
Favorite anime: Unknown
Favorite games: Unknown
Three sizes: Unknown
Favorite Pokemon: Unown
Threat Level: S+
Meultima:
His name is actually several different amalgams at once. The most obvious word would be ‘ultima’ but the ‘me’ at the front is either that (me) or mew, depending how you want to look at it. A reference to ‘mewtwo’ if you will, which isn’t surprising because his first board was the Pokemon boards on GameFAQs. He has a considerable interest in animangame and the like, but the sight of cosplayers in the open will send him running.
Despite his rigorous schedule, he somehow finds the time to squeeze in games, anime, and other miscellaneous stuff of procrastination. Dabbles in MtG cardgames on occassion, but strictly on an online basis.
