I’ve decided it’s time to go to one of the two big anime conventions next year as I’m long overdue for a change of scenery in conventions. So which convention reigns supreme? I’m leaning towards Otakon but AX doesn’t look like a bad choice either. Some advice from people that have gone to either of these cons would be appreciated. In return I offer a pirate’s bounty of moe pictures.

While walking to school with Nobunaga, Yuuto bumps into the pink haired girl yet again, only this time she’s wearing his school’s uniform. The new transfer student formally introduces herself in class as Shiina Amamiya and is an instant hit with the entire class, particularly the guys.

It’s because Grand Theft Auto 4 is just too addicting. That’s really saying something since I always tended to gravitate more towards Japanese games. I didn’t like any of the previous GTA games at all, but this one feels different. The game’s writing is sharp despite the dialogue being so profanity laden. It’s also way too easy to lose track of time with this game. I keep saying to myself, “One more mission and that’s it”. One mission turns into another hour wasted. Then when I finally walk away, I find myself thinking about GTA 4 again. Well at least it’s the summer.

Oh yeah. The Olympics have been pretty exciting to watch. As of this writing, the total medal count is in a dead heat between the US and China, with China having the edge in golds. Wow. So GTA and Olympics. Weird combination isn’t it? There are a couple articles I’ve been sitting on so expect a proper post a bit later.

This week the spotlight falls on the moe moe Tsukasa Hiiragi from Lucky Star. She may not be the brightest bulb in the box but she sure is lovably moe. How can you not like her? It’s impossible. Impossible I say!

I guess this is something of a follow up to my Social Networking post, in which I mentioned how I tend to mostly lurk around the internet. I notice the blogging community is something of a circle. Or an ellipse. Whatever. Everyone knows everyone and they all leave comments for each other at their own blogs. So why don’t I be more social and leave comments at other blogs to expand my circle? Being quiet has always been a major part of my temperament and it’s hard to change your ways after you’re set in them.

I’m just not inclined to leave comments at big blogs. I enjoy reading all the different comments but don’t have anything valuable to contribute to the conversation most of the time. On that note, I prefer to leave comments at small blogs when I do decide to say something. Big blogs with several commentators remind me too much of message boards, which I’ve all but left behind. The whole aspect of message board and IRC communities never appealed to me very much. To me it feels like getting suffocated in a crowd of uniformity. That’s not to say the big forums and IRC are bad. They just feel very constraining. You may see me around on these mediums every now and then. I probably won’t say anything though.

I like blogging because of the individuality it affords. I like seeing all the different themes and writing styles out there. Was this personal post about anything or was it just another of my mini rants? If Wolf Hurricane starts to regularly get 20 comments per post, will I stop commenting back…? I’ll still comment back, because I love getting feedback. Your comments are my blogger Prozac after all.

The boredom of Yamcha has set in. To fill the void between anime episodes and articles, here’s some wacky filler to keep the readers busy. When you need demotivation, I’m there for you. I love you guys and girls that much. This post is not safe for work, home, or life.

This episode shifts the focus to Gouta, who has largely been ignored up to this point. Gouta spaces out during class and remembers the normal life he had until his father’s mage lineage was revealed, which caused his parents to have an argument and split up. Once the word spread, Gouta faced discrimination as a mage from his classmates and former friends at school.

Haruka, Mika, and Nanami are concerned about Hazuki as of late. Thinking that she may have a secret boyfriend, the three drag Yuuto along to follow Hazuki through the city.

This week we feature the delectable Seena Kanon from the Shining game series. No, she’s not from the good Shining Force games. She’s from that other Shining series, the one that’s ridiculously bad… Shining Tears/Wind. As if the games weren’t bad enough, remember the Shining Tears x Wind anime? I’d rather not because I don’t need the nightmares again. Regardless, this is just a shameless opportunity to post some beautiful Tony Taka art. Enjoy.

Slow, me, etc. It takes me a long time to finish a show when I’m not into the series. As such I really had to force myself to finish Kanokon. And man do I have a couple things to say about it.
