The fantastic Wakaba has done it again.

This has probably been out for a while now, meaning it’s all old-hat for some of you, but she’s news to me. And what’s she’s got for her over the rest of the OS-Family: Her own commercial.

Coming off Japanator, Eric Sherman, President of Bang Zoom! Entertainment, is heralding the End of Days as he sees it:
Last year we saw Bandai fire 90% of their staff on one Monday in January, and two years ago we saw Geneon (neé Pioneer) shut their doors and auction off their wares to the highest bidder. CPM died a slow, painful death. And ADV fell hard and fast, the way mighty giants will. But from here on, it won’t be so exciting. Japan is already suffering and struggling to bring out quality titles. They can’t rely on everything being picked up by US distributors anymore. And little by little, it just won’t be here anymore.
The cause? Straight up theft.

Here’s something you might enjoy, I know I did.
On The Street | Animated
It’s a video from Bill Cunningham, fashion photographer for The New York Times. From what I gathered the man goes around Manhattan, taking pictures of well dressed people, and talks about style. Take a listen as he quite literally gushes over cosplay fashion. I thought it interesting to hear the style trend of cosplay as it would be seen through the NY fashion world.

I was nosing through the university video library the other day and was pleasantly surprised to find they have a healthy collection of anime, including a few titles I hadn’t seen. A size-able chunk of these shows I knew immediately, old hat favourites like Ranma 1/2, Patlabor, Evangelion, GitS, Rurouni Kenshin. But then a thought occurred to me: If I had never seen an anime before, how would I begin to approach this cartoon menagerie?

That’s never really a question you ever think to ask yourself. It’s perfectly normal to assume the ride will last forever, and it does until . . . Well, I’m not quite sure which show it was, but I just remember the ride ending.
