Author ArchiveAs you may all have known, for the current season I happen to be a huge Eden of the East junkie. And here we have the ED in full. Finally! Single will only be out at the end of May, however. But in the meantime, here’s something to whet the appetites of ye audiophiles out there. I must say that I love the refrain portions of the song.
![]() Saki is not amused at the Johnny joke. Eden of the East has been one of the more commonly talked about anime series of the spring season, with good cause. Having been an avid watcher of the first two episodes, here are some insights about this strange little concoction from Production I.G. (Spoilers follow)

So, about my previous thoughts regarding Eden of the East…Posted by: Meultima in Anime, Music…Specifically, me doubting that Eden of the East would have a great OP… Yes, I’m very much a passionate music fanatic. Can’t you tell? I’m also a big animation and image composition fan, and in my opinion, a good OP is one that combines fantastic visuals and a great track, with superb coordination to bring out the best of both worlds. It’s why I feel disappointed if an OP has a great track but subpar animation, though there are exceptions to this little bit of causality. Now let’s have a brief rundown on what’s the best this season has to offer… So far. Sengoku Basara and Asuka Cryin’. Okaaay, that little dance jig number with Basara was Not Expected/10. Also, seems Asuka Cryin’ is made by Nanoha folks. Well, certainly has the whole School People With Special Powers thing which I didn’t really expect from the very sparse initial summaries. Not Sure If Want either of these. Thoughts, guys? Hmm, at this point, I’m not really sure what OPs I’m looking forward to. I’m not sure Eden of the East will be the sort of thing to have an amazing OP, but you can never be too sure. Shangri-La was pretty much one of the ones which I expected to have the better OP sequences, and it wasn’t too bad, I guess. Well, onto more leaks and whatnot. Details at Moetron here, along with the OP itself. The song is not bad, though only the full version will tell if it’s anything special. Still, some inconsistencies with the boomerang size worry me. Anywhoo, that’s the first leaked spring OP, though it airs in like three days anyways so it’s a moot point. So what we can learn from the OP: 1: Lolis run the show. Seriously, there’s a girl with a boomerang, what appears to be a Tian Zi clone, and some chick with a teddy bear who seems to be in charge of some giant mainframe thing. I ‘unno. 2: In the future, we will have lots of mime-tranvestites. Or at least, poorly attempted ones. 3: Tanks blow up when they get their cannons sliced by a boomerang. Yamcha: I know it’s tempting to add to the backlog for the Index episodes but —————— Or something to that effect. Four days later, and I’m back again. Whew. Yes, I went to Orchard Road, you nuts. It has convinced me that Singaporeans are fruitier in the head than a fruitcake on Christmas Eve. P.S. I stayed at Woodlands with some relatives. P.S.2. Pedestrians having right-of-way is empowering. P.S.3. Your games and books here are bloody cheap. I hate you guys. On another note, what is WRONG with you people and your food prices?! P.S.4. The Kinokuniya in TSC is the most amazing thing ever. With that, Meu out.

A Certain Magical Index 5: Midnight LimitPosted by: Meultima in Anime, To Aru Majutsu no Index![]() House of KoMOE with KoMOE leaving the house. In Episode Five of the Index anime, our overly hotheaded hero has to cool his head a bit to figure out a way to save his newfound friend from certain… Memory Wipe. He has until a little after midnight to complete this Mission Impossible. Will he succeed or fail? (Oh, who am I kidding.) Will Index ever wear that pink bunny suit again? Will Kaori finally overcome her plushie addiction? Okay, so not all of these are even true statements in the first place, and we ain’t got all the answers, but… Ooh, shiny! *Distracted*

A Certain Indexed Overview. (Episodes 2-4)Posted by: Meultima in Anime, To Aru Majutsu no Index
Ah yes. To Aru Majutsu no Index. For some inexplicable reason I liked this series from the offset. It’s been a little up and down so far, but regardless, it’s some pretty entertaining stuff. Now let’s have a quick look at what we have right now, shall we? Tags: bunny pajamas, hot sword chick, koMOE, railgun!I’ve just realized that I’ve been watching quite a large number of shows recently. Since there’s not a lot of space to review each one before looking like a massive wall of text, I’ll just summarize my thoughts.
Briefly. Pics and stuff ahoy. |
