That being said, it’s funny that Kanbaru does a very good job of filling up Senjougahara’s absence. I’d never expected it, but hey, it works. Actually, you could kick out that overrated yandere and it’d make the show 1000x better. As for the episode itself, it was alright, but as the title says, the presentation left a lot to be desired, as it ended up being a lot of still shots and frames for a large portion of the episode.

Well, the last arc looks to be Tsubasa Cat, which is 2 episodes aired on TV and 3 episodes off the website. ’tis a pity, I was waiting for the Koyomi Vampire arc. Oh well, I guess I can’t complain since the show is popular enough to warrant a second season.

Wow, two posts in a row from yours truly. I am on a ROLL, baby.

Pen + Eyeball = ???

Ah, our troubled stationery wielding princess, Senjougahara. Even though your arc is already over you continue to capture our hearts in each episode with your backhanded compliments and snide remarks towards Ararararagi.

What started as a mere infatuation on both sides is blossoming into a genuine (and very unique) relationship. The Love-Hate relationship between Senjougahara and Araragi has been clicking on all cylinders so far. More importantly it’s been genuinely convincing and entertaining. On one hand, Senjougahara is smitten by the dense but altruistic boy that saved her from the dire fate she resigned herself to. On the other hand, she’s an insecure, possessive girl that flips faster than an American SUV speeding down a Japanese mountain pass as evidenced by *ahem*

show

Almost gouging out Araragi’s eye over a simple misunderstanding concerning their mutual acquaintance in episode 6.

The last thing you’ll ever see, and what a beautiful sight it is.

An angry Senjougahara could even make Satan piss his pants. The average tsundere will tell you off, bop you on the head and then storm out of the room in a fit of anger — Typical Kugimiya tsundere stuff. What makes Senjougahara unnerving is the fact that you don’t see the normal signs of a tsundere getting mad. Her tsun side looks exactly the same as her dere side. You don’t know when you’re going to sail on a Nice Boat. Even worse, she’s temperamental and totally unpredictable. While she jokes around about stuff like killing Araragi… It may actually be more of a warning. I wouldn’t be surprised if she suddenly castrated Araragi one day for forgetting to buy milk on his way home, not like it’s a problem since he could grow Araragi Jr back, but it would be mildly inconvenient.

Insert choice Shakugan no Shana joke here, kids.

Though Senjougahara is scary as hell, that’s what makes her so great. There aren’t a lot of girls like her. Beauty, brains, bravado and a killer personality. Crazy in and of itself is only entertaining to a certain point. Senjougahara is crazy without actually being crazy. I’ll liken her to Dark Knight’s Joker in that respect with their unique brand of controlled craziness. The other hallmark of her personality is arrogant bitch, but she’s also really nice too in her own twisted little way. She’s a unique combination of extremes that we don’t see a whole lot of in the vast sea of cookie cutter moe girls. If you’re tired of all the Mary Sue Mios out there, I wholeheartedly endorse Senjougahara, an icy lass with stationery under her skirt and fire in her eyes. Put ya Senjougahara Fascination on, kids!

PS: I guess Mayoi isn’t bad either if you’re a pedo. Too many damn lolis these days for me to care anymore.

We Rabu You Too. Also, I came.

As part of the “Senjougahara Fascination Movement” for Bakemonogatari’s wildly popular stationery wielding tsundere, we’re rolling out with a Senjougahara header, courtesy of Panzer over at The Deathseeker. While the lovely Senjougahara hijacks the header space, the Clannad girls will be temporarily out of commission for fear of being assaulted with a stapler.

In a nutshell, the goal of our “Senjougahara Fascination Movement” is to get as many blogs as possible to support this cause by placing a Senjougahara header on your blog and making a post proclaiming your support for the best girl of 2009 (Hint: It’s not Mayoi). See Panzer’s original post in the link above so you can pingback to it and subsequently feed his massive ego. For the non-bloggers we could probably make buttons and mini-banners as well to show support for her in forum signatures. The original suggestion was for “Senjougahara Fascination” to run through the rest of the month, but we may as well go the whole distance and support her for the entirety of the show’s run because she’s just that friggin’ awesome.

Tell your friends and spread the word, or else you’ll be stapled in the mouth (or other places) by a concerned citizen with purple hair.

…Since this would be the likely outcome.

Three theories about the cell phone:

1. This is just SHAFT ****-ing with our minds.
2. The cell phone is possessed and needs an exorcism.
3. This is just SHAFT ****-ing with our minds.
4. The phone is actually GLaDOS reincarnated. Wait, that’s four…

SHAFT, you make my head hurt. This is what happens when you let people with ADHD make anime. At least this was nowhere near as bad as the seizure inducing phone scene in ef – a tale of memories.
