Brawl acquired

This was my first midnight game acquisition and it was worth it. The Subspace Emissary story is surprisingly deep by SSB standards. I’m currently just going through to unlock all the characters before I venture into the wide world of wi-fi. I’ll edit this post and give out my Friend Code to any and all challengers later.

So in other words, this means that what little time I had for anime has diminished even more. There will be an update with comment soon as I try to get through my ever growing backlog of shows.

octomania01

I don’t know what this is really about, but for $20 I’ll probably get it. Apparently it’s a puzzle game involving octopuses or something. Double wallet whammy because the release date coincides with Brawl. If anyone else is thinking about getting Octomania, maybe we could have a match when it comes out.

Okami coming to the Wii

I just checked up on the gaming news today and one thing really caught my eye over at Kotaku. Okami is going to get a Wii port.

*Cue girly scream of joy*

Waiting until 2008 is going to be an eternity. I’m adding to my list of must buy games. If you have a Wii, it would be a crime not to. Anyway, expect an animu post later tonight or tomorrow.

I’m sure all of you are checking out the Official SSBB site everyday for the latest and greatest news. Sure it’s exciting to get the new announcements as far as stages and items go, but we all know it’s about the characters. Sonic is on the scene now and I think the blue hedgehog is going to kick much butt. I can’t wait to see which characters come out of the woodwork next.

Do you remember the days when marbles were considered cutting edge toys? If you do, then you’re old. That shouldn’t stop you from enjoying this game though. The goal of the game is to tilt your marble through a variety of mazes using the Wiimote. That’s all this game is about. You unlock new marbles and levels as you progress. This game will net you big points with the casual non-gaming girls, guys. It’s cute and simple. Hardcore gamers looking for the next Katamari Damacy successor might want to look elsewhere.

Wii Crane Game

CNet’s Crave blog had an interesting link.

Pop a few bucks in for a chance to pick up a Wii in a UFO catcher. I can’t help but wonder how much damage those consoles sustain after dropping out of the claw. How does the warranty work if you do defy the odds and win a defective console? Multiple droppings would no doubt mess up all those delicate electronic parts. Crane games are okay for plushies and figures but a no-no for expensive electronics. When will people learn?
