Hooray for two new characters. Cue the obligatory multiple personality girl and the illegal alien loli that everyone in the class loves. References I caught in this episode include Light from Desu Note, Phoenix Wright, the Fusion Dance from DBZ, and a possible homage to Ichigo 100%. Without further delay, your much beloved screenshots link. I went a bit crazy with the screen captures because there were so many good ones to show you.

The art style in this show keeps getting weirder and weirder. It hit me that it kind of bears a resemblance to Gankutsuou. In this episode, Great Teacher Itoshiki deals with a hikikomori and a crazy stalker girl. The chalkboard jokes are a bit toned down this week, but there are a few noteable quotes in there. The ones I caught were from Code Geass and Gintama. This show is really dark yet funny at the same time.

Talk about a weird show. The premise is that the most negative person in the world, one Itoshiki Nozomu, meets the most optimistic girl in the world. Do hijinx ensue? Yes they do. Said girl thinks that people hang themselves to get taller. The music is reminiscent of a dramatic movie, but it is matched to wacky discussions and antics on screen. I’ll applaud the well placed usage of creepy disembodied censorship heads. In a few words, this show is definitely special. Episode 2 review coming later in the week.
